Quick Help
Installing Canopi
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store (Chromium-based browsers supported).
Sign in using Google.
Open the side panel from the toolbar or Chrome side panel menu.
Sign-in Issues
Make sure pop-ups are enabled for Google authentication.
Try signing out and back in.
Restart your browser.
Notifications Not Working
Check Chrome notification permissions.
Confirm notifications are enabled in Canopi settings.
Presence and Visibility
You control whether you appear visible on a page.
Live cursor sharing must be explicitly enabled.
If you do not appear visible, check the Visibility tab.
Troubleshooting Checklist
Update to the latest Chromium-based browser version.
Confirm extension permissions are enabled.
Disable conflicting extensions.
Restart browser.
Reinstall Canopi if necessary.
Known Limitations (Alpha)
Chromium-based browsers only.
Not supported in Incognito mode.
Not supported on localhost.
Works on standard webpages and PDFs.
Moderation and Safety
Communities are governed by community-defined norms and AI-assisted moderation. If you encounter harmful or abusive behavior, email info@canopi.live with relevant details.
